Our Modern Cloth Nappies are easy to use and easy to clean. The Nappies have a beautifully soft stay dry micro fleece inner layer (against bubs skin).  Moisture passes through this layer to the insert underneath which holds the fluids/wee. The outer nappy shell is waterproof PUL which is soft and breathable. It keeps moisture in, but also allows babies skin to breath to help reduce nappy rash.

Adjustable size

This cloth nappy is adjustable in size and will fit babies from approx 3.5kg to 13kg, the average newborn to 2-3 year old.  Fitting is easy with many different snaps to choose to help find the right fit your babies shape, from long and skinny to chunky thighs and everything in between.   Please see information on fitting and sizing to see how easily our cloth nappies adjust.  We have some helpful videos at the bottom of the fitting page too.

Chubby Legs

This nappy is very adjustable in the fit and can suit most babies and toddlers even with chubby legs.  But if you have a baby with gorgeous big chubby legs you may want to look into our toddler nappies, these suit from approx. 9kg to 20kg.

Cleaning your Cloth Nappies

Modern Cloth nappies are super easy to clean and to include in your daily wash routine.  No soaking needed, store dirty nappies in a laundry basket then they will have 2 washes. One for 30 minutes with detergent and a second longer cycle.  The long wash cycle can also include the family washing, as the bulk of the mess has been removed in the short wash.  We have full washing details in our blog post, this also goes through how to deal with the different stages of poop.

If you’re worried about cleaning poo off nappies than you may want to use Bamboo Disposable Liners.  These are placed on top of the nappy to catch the solid wastes.  When dirty, the liner along with any poo can be disposed of, taking the poop with it.

How much absorbency your baby will need?

This will vary between each baby and will change as they grow and each day can be different.  Like us, some days we will drink more and need to wee more, this is the same for babies, you have to remember, what goes in will come out.  Some babies will be able to go 2 hours between changes with 1 insert. Others will need 2 inserts for this time.
