The fishing onesies come in four sizes; 00 (3-6 months), 0 (6-12 months), 1 and 2. This means that little ones aged between 3 months and two years can grab a fishing onesie and enjoy the comfort and clasp accessibility of these smart designs. Our fishing shirts are available in sizes 2, 3 and 4. We often see our customers with young children eventually purchase the kid’s fishing shirt and if there is a particular print they love, they can choose the same one for fishing onesie and fishing shirt. 

Fishing shirt kids design

While the protection is the same for both fishing shirt and fishing onesies, the shirt design is different. The shirt design for older children is like a long-sleeved shirt with three buttons at the neck, whereas the onesie is also like a long-sleeved shirt but there are press stud clasps at the groin. The press studs and fishing onesie design allow for babies of different sizes so small and chubbier legs will easily fit. 

Difference in prints

You will notice that the designs will vary for both fishing shirts and onesies. We stock our own fishing shirt options as well as Little Ripper fishing shirts and onesies. There is some overlap in both designs, so if you are looking to purchase a matching set for your kids then be sure to choose prints available in both designs. You may be wondering if there is value in buying a fishing shirt. After all, couldn’t you just wear a long-sleeved shirt that you have at home? The difference lies in the material and design, with our fishing shirts offering a UPF 50+ sun protection rating against the harsh sun, year-round. The material of the fishing shirts is also quick-drying and breathable, as the last thing you want is for your little one to be damp and uncomfortable for a long period of time. We also doubt that a long-sleeved shirt comes with the same front clip to allow for easy nappy changes.
