NOTE: Chin strap can easily be removed if required without compromising the quality of the hat – you just need scissors!
Size & Brim Depth Advice
One fact you can be sure of – no two heads are the same! ALWAYS measure your child’s head before purchasing to ensure getting the accurate size.
How to measure…
- Step 1: Distract the child with a toy or some food (so they don’t try and help you!).
- Step 2: Use a measuring tape to take the measurement. If tape is not available, use a ribbon to take the size then check it against a ruler to find the measurement.
- Step 3: Purchase the size closest to your child’s measurement without going under. NOTE: Our hats are very stretchy and will grow up to 4cm.
Purchasing the next size up would be too large and could block the child’s vision. Purchasing too small may fit but baby will grow out of it too quickly.
EXAMPLE: If your child measures 41cms around the head you should go for the 42cm size; it will stretch another 4cms bringing the total fit up to 46cms and with plenty of future wear with growth.
